Houston Texans: Three Patriots that will give the Texans a hard time
By T.A. Mock
Trey Flowers, DE
The Patriots seem to have a knack for getting rid of their best and most recognized defenders. However, their defense rarely seems to take a step down. Trey Flowers is one of the reasons their defense can still be towards the tops in the league.

After recording 13.5 sacks over the past two seasons, Flowers is poised to make a jump this year. The Houston Texans could have a hard time slowing down Flowers. The offensive line for the Texans has some potential to become league average but, this unit is still largely untested together.
Flowers is slightly undersized for a defensive end but, that doesn’t stop him from wrecking shop off the edge. He is adept in both pass rushing and stopping the run. He graded out pretty well in both categories according to Pro Football Focus (Subscription Required). Overall, he was rated as the 22nd best end in all of football.
Flowers will face off against Seantrel Henderson and maybe Martinas Rankin on Sunday. Both guys have the potential to lock up flowers but, I wouldn’t put too much money on it. Time will tell what will happen but, Flowers could potentially be the guy that gives the Texans the hardest time.
These three guys will give the Texans a hard time on Sunday. There is no question about that as this game won’t be a cakewalk for the Texans. But, if the team is able to lock down these three guys a victory will come a lot easier.
