James White, RB

James White isn’t a premier running back. He’ll likely never make a pro bowl as a running. He’ll likely never run for a 1,000 yards as a rusher. But, he is one of the most dangerous weapons on this Patriots offense.

White very well may be one of the best receiving backs in the entire league. He is dangerous out of the backfield when Brady drops backs to pass. White has the ability to line up all over the field as a receiver but, his best work is when he’s operating out of the backfield.

Must Read. Cutting Lechler is the sign of a new era. light

The Houston Texans have always seemed to have trouble picking up backs out of the backfield on pass downs. Since White is one of the best ones to be doing it right now, that shouldn’t change much. Benardrick McKinney and Zach Cunningham have the athletic ability to cover him so, this may not be as big of an issue as previous years.

If the Texans can slow down White out of the backfield than they’ll have an easier job slowing down Brady as well. White will be difficult to stop and could have a good game, time will tell.
