Houston Texans

The Texans had a miserable season last year after Whitney Mercilus, J.J. Watt, and Deshaun Waston all suffered season-ending injuries. To make matters worse, the Cleveland Browns of all teams possessed the Texans’ first-round draft pick, which happened to be no. 4.

Everyone, aside from D’Onta Foreman, should be healthy to start the season so, hopefully, 2018 will be better. However, the AFC South looks very strong with Andrew Luck healthy, the Jaguars looking to build on their AFC Championship Game appearance, and the Titans coming off of a playoff win last year.

The Browns haven’t won a game since 2016, and J.J. Watt hasn’t a recorded a sack since 2016. Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem momentous enough to give away free Bud Lights, but it did cross my mind. It would certainly warrant popping open a cold one!

Texans fans should be rewarded with free Bud Lights if Deshaun Watson could lead the Texans to an AFC South title. He’s the least experienced QB in the division, but he may have the highest ceiling of the group. He looked strong in his one drive of the first preseason games and has been receiving rave reviews during practices.

So, if his knee is as healthy as it seems this may not be too far-fetched for this Houston sports team to accomplish. So, here’s to Watson improving on his injury-shortened rookie campaign and leading the Texans to a division crown!
