Houston Astros

If this had happened last year, the answer would have been a World Series championship definitely warranted a free Bud Light. After year’s of rebuilding the bar for free beer would’ve been moved up.

The Astros hadn’t won a World Series in the franchise’s history, and the team only had one appearance in the World Series since they entered the National League in 1962. That all changed when the Astros beat the Dodgers in Game 7 last fall.

The Astros have had the biggest target on the back of Houston sports teams since then. They’ve been playing well for the most part but, the team has received a lot of criticism. Unfortunately, some of that criticism is deserving, especially recently.

The team has been slumping and the Oakland A’s have been surging. They have climbed within one game of the Astros with their most recent win. The Mariners are also only 4.5 games back. Fans should be happy to raise a glass if the ‘Stros hold on to win the American League West.

The only way fans should be rewarded with a free Bud Light is if they find a way to repeat as champions in 2018. Here’s to the Astros holding on to the American League West crown and hopefully finding themselves back in position to win another World Series!
