Theory #1 – The J.J. Watt Injury

What happened to J.J. Watt wasn’t fair. Here was a guy that went from superstar to humanitarian after what he did for Hurricane Harvey. This is supposed to be the citizen of the year. At least according to real life people and not from a silly magazine.

He raised $37 million dollars for his relief fund and has become an inspiration to the city of Houston.

Now one would think that Watt would get the ultimate reward of being the best defensive player of the season and by leading the team to the Super Bowl. Isn’t that right?

Unfortunately, this NFL season has seen it’s fair share of superstar injuries, including Aaron Rodgers, Odell Beckham Jr., and Richard Sherman. Sadly, Watt was affected by the injury bug.

It’s not Watt that’s feeling it. But it’s the Texans that are feeling the injury bug. Watson, Whitney Mercilus, and D’onta Foreman have each been hit with this bug.

Let Me Guess!

You all think that there is someone who hates the Houston Texans and owns an insect that causes major pain to anyone associated with the organization, right?

Well, let me tell you that what you think is total bat shot. Injury bugs happen all the time to any team in any given year.

Top 5 Injury-Plagued Teams

If you want, feel free to read this link. What’s the matter? Are you afraid that the Houston Texans will be on the list? Well, this may come as a shock to you. Nowhere does it say the Houston Texans are in the top five. The Green Bay Packers, New England Patriots, and Chicago Bears are just three teams on this list. You’ll be surprised by the number of injuries on each team in this list.

Of course, this was from 2015. But the truth is, we’re dealing with a lot of parody. Teams like the Philadelphia Eagles, the New Orleans Saints, and the Jacksonville Jaguars are suddenly at the top of their divisions. This wouldn’t be possible in 2015. With all the other issues going on as far as protests, CTE and injuries, it’s amazing to see other teams step up even when they had little to no chance in 2015 or before.

If this were a normal season, the Texans would be fighting for a playoff spot right now. But the truth is, we’re probably not going to the playoffs this year. It’s ok! We can handle that.

Conclusion

The Texans are not the only team with injury bugs. They happen to every team whenever.

Now with one theory smashed, it’s time for theory number two to be investigated.
