Houston Rockets: Seven reasons why the team should have more titles
2015 – Back to back?
This was the season that we could’ve been great. A season that saw us have a Clutch City moment. We were destined to win and we could’ve won the whole thing if it wasn’t for the Golden State Warriors.
As we know, the Rockets lost the first three games to the Warriors in a five-game series. Now how will this work? We would think we could overcome a 3-0 deficit to win in seven games to the Warriors. But that’s not a logical outcome. So in order for us to continue with our experiment, we’re going to change the outcomes of some playoff games. I truly believe that Houston competed and could’ve won three of the five games.
We should’ve won the first two in Golden State as well as the one we won in Houston. So technically, after game five, we would’ve been up 3-2. Now the Warriors could’ve overcome a 3-1 deficit in 2015. But to be fair, that’s not going to happen here. Houston beats the Warriors and goes to the NBA Finals.

Well hello now, it’s LeBron again in the finals. He’s suffered two losses to the Rockets in the finals. Would there be so much pleasure in beating him again in the finals or will it get boring? Let’s see if the Houston Rockets can add another ring when they play the Cleveland Cavaliers?
2015 NBA Finals – Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Houston Rockets
Game 1 in Houston: Rockets 92-90 (1-0 HOU)
Game 2 in Houston: Cavaliers 108-104 (1-1)
Game 3 in Cleveland: Rockets 105-100 (2-1 HOU)
Game 4 in Cleveland: Rockets 114-105 (3-1 HOU)
Game 5 in Houston: Rockets 101-80 (4-1 HOU)
Houston Rockets win series 4-1
Clearly, the injuries to Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love would’ve hurt the Cavaliers’ chances as Houston would’ve steamrolled to the championship. This would clearly make Houston a great market to come to play. We get Carmelo Anthony, Kevin Durant, and Chris Paul to come to Houston and we become a machine that is going to be impossible to beat.
We would be so dominant that they would ban us from the NBA and we would start a league of teams that are much better than the NBA themselves. Soon, all of the market values of New York, Los Angeles and Chicago will lose and Houston will be the most dominated city in the world. No one would care about the humidity or flooding. When our sports teams win a championship, life is good.

But then again, life is good in Houston regardless of whether we win or not. So we’d have four additional championships to make it six total had things gone our way? I’ll take that!
Hey! One can only dream, can they?
