Was It A Fluke? Examining The Houston Rockets Season
We gave a valiant effort against the Golden State Warriors but this was clearly their year.
Stephen Curry is on a mission with a chip on his shoulder to prove to the naysayers that he belongs in this league.
Think about it — he comes from a small school — Davidson University — and was probably told that he wasn’t good enough or he won’t make it to said level.

Well he is proving that he deserves every bit of that sense of belonging — not only that but making it to the NBA Finals for a shot at the Larry O’Brien trophy.
I wish the Warriors the best of luck but I’d like to see LeBron James win for the city of Cleveland who in my opinion, are the only other city than us to have it just has bad as far as a Big Three (football, basketball, baseball) pro franchise championship drought.
I love me some Beard but Curry is truly the MVP — just sitting down and watching him do work is nothing short of amazing.
He always comes through in the clutch but I can’t say the same for our own MVP in Harden.
He disappeared at times in the playoffs when we needed him the most but it’s his moments that lifted us that I’ll treasure the most.
Was this season a success?
Absolutely, considering what this team has gone through!
Some will say it was fluke, that we didn’t deserve to be here but they don’t know what they’re talking about.
We’re here and not going anywhere for a long time with this cast.
You’ll hear more from me in the off season in regard to what we should do with this team but here’s my initial thoughts:
1.) Re-sign J-Smoove and Brew
2.) Find a valuable starting point guard in place of Beverley
3.) TJones will be on the trading block this off season
I would love to see Bev brought back in his initial role that he had with the Rockets — being the energy guy off the bench.

He’s a restricted free agent this off season so that depends what other teams offer him and if the Rockets will match because — mark my words — they WILL NOT overpay for Bev.
The Rockets hold 18th and 32nd pick in the NBA Draft and have some cap flexibility so it will be interesting to see what Daryl Morey does with all of those assets.
I’m excited, you should be excited and proud of what the Rockets have done.
Until then, go Rockets and BELIEVE IT ONCE AGAIN!
