Jordan Hamilton

He flashed briefly right after the trade which sent Aaron Brooks to the Nuggets and the Rockets hoped he would provide a more athletic wing defender who can also knock down a shot.

He started off hot with solid games against the Kings, Clippers and Pistons averaging 13.6 points per game in his first three games with the Rockets. On the surface it looked like a really good trade as Brooks was hardly being used once Patrick Beverley returned from injury.

But after that initial run, Hamilton’s play fizzled back to about what it had been with the Nuggets. His minutes gradually declined down to almost nothing in April and he didn’t even see the court in the playoffs. The Rockets have a team option on him for just over 2 million for 2014-15 but at this point aren’t likely to exercise it.
