Houston Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans' coaching staff is already looking different nearly a month into the NFL offseason. Former offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik was dismissed and has since been replaced by Nick Caley, who did some solid work with the L.A. Rams' passing game last season.
While Texans fans are excited to see what Caley can do with the likes of C.J. Stroud, Nico Collins, and Joe Mixon, it turns out one of the team's playmakers is also excited to work with his new OC.
Texans News: Brevin Jordan Excited About Nick Caley Hire
After Caley's hiring was revealed, Texans tight end Brevin Jordan took to social media to share his thoughts regarding the announcement. Even though he didn't use a single word, the 24-year-old pass-catcher's two cool-face emojis show he's thrilled with Houston's newest coach.

Jordan's excitement about the situation is more than understandable. Caley, 42, has spent the last eight years coaching tight ends for the Rams and New England Patriots. That experience has allowed him to work with talented TEs such as Rob Gronkowski, Tyler Higbee, and Hunter Henry while winning two Super Bowl rings along the way.
Perhaps Jordan is hoping that Caley's arrival will help him reach his potential.
After all, the former Miami (FL) product has been stuck in a backup role ever since the Texans drafted him 147th overall in 2021. He's made 36 appearances across the last four seasons, resulting in only 53 catches for 532 receiving yards and five touchdowns.
Dalton Schultz and Cade Stover are the only other Texans TEs under contract in 2025, meaning the door is open for Jordan to fight his way into a bigger role next season. Immediately fostering a strong relationship with Caley would be the first step to achieving that goal.
Texans fans will have a better idea of what Jordan's role will look like this fall as the NFL offseason continues.
