A crucial offseason awaits the Houston Texans. After back-to-back postseason appearances, the Texans are ready to take the next step to becoming a true Super Bowl contender.
Houston's future is bright. They have an up-and-coming head coach in DeMeco Ryans, a star in the making in C.J. Stroud, and a deep and talented roster. GM Nick Caserio has done a great job building out the roster.
At the same time, the roster has some significant holes. One of the main areas in need of an upgrade is the offensive line. Stroud was sacked 52 times during the regular season and eight times against the Chiefs in the divisional round of the playoffs. Laremy Tunsil and Blake Fisher are an intriguing pair at tackle, but the interior of the offensive line leaves plenty to be desired.
Recent first-round pick Kenyon Green continued to disappoint and cemented himself as a major draft bust for the Texans. He finished the season as the 76th-best guard in the NFL out of 77 eligible players before getting benched. He will almost certainly be cut in the offseason. With fellow guard Kendrick Green hitting free agency, the Texans will need to target a quality interior offensive lineman in free agency.
Fortunately for them, the perfect trade target just became available. Jonah Jackson was just given permission by the Los Angeles Rams to seek a trade.
Jeremy obviously means Jonah Jackson who played 266 snaps and didn’t give up a sack and gave up 9 pressures.

In 2023 he gave up 2 sacks and 24 pressures on nearly 800 snaps.

Texans Should Consider Trading for Rams OL Jonah Jackson
Jackson made the Pro Bowl as a member of the Detroit Lions' elite offensive line before signing a three-year, $51 million deal with the Rams last offseason. He dealt with injuries in his first season in LA and only appeared in four games. He had the first start of his career at center and saw snaps in both guard positions.
Despite the injuries, Jackson still received a solid 67.5 offensive grade on PFF. When healthy, he can still be an effective player and the Texans should seriously consider trading for him this offseason.
