The Houston Texans used this offseason to make some sweeping changes, mostly coming on the offensive line.

Over the past couple of months, Houston has added the likes of Cam Robinson, Aireontae Ersery, Laken Tomlinson, Trent Brown, and Ed Ingram to the trenches. They were tied for third in the league in sacks allowed (54) and decided they wanted to make some additions to that unit.

OTAs, minicamp, and training camp will give fans and the coaching staff a better indication of who will latch onto a starting job. It seems like Robinson will be the starter at left tackle, but Houston has decided to give Ersery and Blake Fisher first-team reps at RT in OTAs thus far.

From the outside looking in, one of these fellas will win the starting job with the other being the swing tackle. At the same time, Brown could be a player who doesn't make it to the month of July.

He inked a one-year, $2.35 million deal that features just $550,000 guaranteed. The Texans made sure not to give him a big deal in case things don't work out. Staying healthy over the course of his career has been a problem. He's missed double-digit games in four seasons in his 10-year career.

Just last season with the Cincinnati Bengals, Brown suffered a patellar tendon tear in his right knee in Week 3. He has been rehabbing tirelessly over the past few months to get back on the field for the 2025 season, but with all the movement Houston made upfront, the dire need for Brown isn't there.

Especially since they aren't paying him a ton of money anyway. The upside for Ersery, Robinson, and Fisher is higher than what Brown can provide.

The battle along the offensive line will be something to watch this summer, but there's a chance that Brown doesn't make it through the month.
