The Houston Texans wasted no time this offseason to change things around. After getting eliminated in the divisional round again, the Texans made a decision to trade away Laremy Tunsil and Kenyon Green. They also released Shaq Mason.

Houston added Cam Robinson and Laken Tomlinson in free agency but they are still looking to bolster the offensive line. The 2025 NFL Draft is just one week away and teams are finalizing their draft board.

The Texans own the 25th pick in the first round and reportedly have three guys as the frontrunners. According to John Hickman of LockedonTexans, Houston likes OT Kelvin Banks Jr, OT Josh Conerly, and OG Tyler Booker with their first-round pick.

Texans Reportedly Leaning Towards OL With First-Round Pick

There's clearly a trend that is forming with the Texans, and it's about stabilizing the offensive line. Banks Jr. is the best of the three and would be a home-run pick for Houston. There are some people who think it would be better served as a guard instead of tackle but he played that all that position all throughout college.

The Athletic's Dane Brugler has Banks Jr. as his No. 2 rated guard on his draft guide. Banks Jr. is patient in pass protection and owns the instinct to attack with leverage.

As for Booker, he's the top-rated guard on Brugler's draft guide. He's listed at 6-foot-5, 321 pounds and is a physically imposing threat upfront. As a pass protector, he's a great anchor while moving defenders with ease in the run game Booker was a two-year starter with the Crimson Tide.

Meanwhile, Conerly is a two-year starter at Oregon and was a two-year starter with the Ducks. He uses his terrific lateral quickness and overall movement skills to stay composed in both pass pro and run blocking.

If the Texans do, in fact, select either of these three guys, any of them will improve the offensive line and give them a building block for the future.

We'll see in less than one week if these rumors are true.
