The Houston Texans are preparing for the 2025 season and looking to make a big jump. They haven't stayed quiet either, as they've made multiple trades this offseason, including acquiring Christian Kirk and CJ Gardner Johnson.
In the same breath, Houston shipped out Laremy Tunsil and Kenyon Green while releasing Shaq Mason.
GM Nick Caserio and head coach DeMeco Ryans have done a great job building this roster to be competitive.
During the offseason, players use the time off to rest and rehab before a grueling season. Safety Jalen Pitre suffered a torn pectoral in Week 12 against the Tennessee Titans and had to undergo season-ending surgery.
He's been rehabbing since, but Pitre recently revealed that he may not be ready for any activities this spring.

Jalen Pitre May Not Be Ready for Spring Workouts
Pitre attended a local event at Houston's Bang Elementary School on Monday and was asked if he'll be participating in OTAs and minicamps. Pitre didn't sound confident, but he's looking forward to the 2025 season.
He said, "I'm not really sure if I'll be able to do stuff in the spring but I'm feeling good. My team has been nothing but helping me progress along the way. It's been nothing but positive steps. Looking forward to the season for sure."
While it would be great to have Pitre out there with the guys in spring, the biggest thing Houston wants is for him to be ready to roll in September. Nonetheless, it's still a positive development that Pitre said everything is going well with his rehab.
The 25-year-old was a second-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft and has developed into a quality defender for this team. In 44 career games, Pitre had 296 total tackles, 17 TFLs, 21 pass breakups, and six interceptions.
Before going down with the pec injury, Pitre had a 73.9 overall grade, a 79.5 run-defense grade, and a 71.3 coverage grade per PFF.
He's a productive player for this team, but it sounds like some other guys will be getting some reps in his place during spring workouts.
