The Houston Texans have a big offseason in front of them. After being sent home in the divisional round for two consecutive seasons, they need to find more difference-makers going forward.

This week, the NFL Scouting Combine is happening in Indianapolis. This gives teams and the best college prospects in the nation a chance to meet face-to-face and have in-depth conversations.

One player who spoke highly about quarterback C.J. Stroud was Ohio State receiver Emeka Egbuka.

When speaking to members of the media on Friday, Egbuka revealed he had a great meeting with the Texans. He also stated he had a 'special connection' with Stroud from their time together in college.

These two guys formed a dynamic duo during the 2022 season at Ohio State University. In 13 games, they connected on 74 catches for 1,151 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns.

Egbuka would love to reunite with his former college quarterback, and the Texans need another receiver. Tank Dell's status for the 2025 season is up in the air after suffering a major knee injury last season. Stefon Diggs will also hit free agency after he tore his ACL in October.

Nico Collins is the only reliable pass-catcher going into next season, so the idea of Egbuka landing with the Texans makes sense.

Houston owns the 25th overall pick in the first round and could be in range to add Egbuka if they wanted.

The Washington native is a fluid mover and route runner. He can thrive in the slot and uses his strong hands to pluck the ball out of the air. In 49 collegiate games, Egbuka reeled in 205 receptions for 2,868 receiving yards and 24 touchdowns.

There are a ton of things that will change between now and draft day, but it's clear Egbuka has his eyes on Houston as a landing spot.
