The Houston Texans haven't stayed quiet this offseason. They have made some whopping changes along the offensive line, which featured trading away Laremy Tunsil and Kenyon Green. They also released Shaq Mason.
Despite making these moves, they didn't stagnate and made some additions along the offensive line. They signed Laken Tomlinson and Cam Robinson to bolster the trenches.
Now that time has settled on these moves, it has been revealed that Robinson decided to sign with the Texans over the New England Patriots.

Texans News: Cam Robinson Chose Texans Over Patriots
ESPN's Mike Reiss wrote, "Left tackle Cam Robinson, who signed a one-year deal with the Texans on Thursday that reportedly has a maximum value of $14.5 million, could have helped the Patriots answer one of their top questions as he was arguably the top left tackle remaining on the market. And the Patriots were in the mix to some degree, according to a team source, but the sense was that Robinson preferred Houston."
The Texans bringing in Robinson was a huge lift for this team, as he gives the Texans a stable offensive lineman who is tasked with protecting C.J. Stroud's blindside.
Robinson has played with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Minnesota Vikings in his eight-year career but decided that Houston was a better fit for him instead of a rebuilding Patriots team. It's notable both teams were in on the veteran considering how several of the Texans' staffers have previous ties to New England, but it also shows the different paths these franchises are currently on.
Houston has made the playoffs for the last two seasons and boasts the talent to compete with some of the best teams in the league. That same statement can't be said about the Pats, which could have played a major role in Robinson's decision.
This past season, Robinson posted a 64.7 overall grade and a 70.4 pass-blocking grade. He can also move defenders in the run game, making him an ideal fit in Houston. The Texans only gave Robinson a one-year deal, so if things don't pan out in 2025, they could easily move on.
Regardless, the Texans were the more appealing destination for Robinson and he made sure to sign with them.
