The Houston Texans can climb back to top of the AFC South with win

An explosive offense is motivated and hungry
The Houston Texans offense has been on a roller coaster the entire season. There are times where it has looked like the best offense in the league, functioning on all cylinders. Then, at other times, it looks like these guys are just learning the game.
However, that trend seems to have stopped with the offense putting out some excellent showings the past couple of weeks. All of these guys are really just now hitting their stride together as the majority of the players haven’t even played a full season together but the more they play together the better they’ve gotten.
DeAndre Hopkins is, according to PFF, the best wide receiver in the league this year. Overall, he’s rated at 89.6 and an 89 for his receiving grade. He also leads the league in receiving yards with 594 yards, in case you were curious that’s on pace for over 1,900 yards. That would blow his previous career high out of the water.
Hopkins is being flanked by two other guys who are pretty good in their own right. Will Fuller has graded out over 77 all year long and has nearly 300 yards and three touchdowns. Keke Coutee has elevated this offense in his first two games while collecting 160 yards and his first touchdown.
Deshaun Watson has also improved every week and is top 10, verging on top five, quarterback. He hasn’t quite had the year he was expected to based on the preseason hype. 1,621 through five games isn’t too shabby and is on pace for 5,100+ yards. His touchdown numbers aren’t where you’d expect them to be but they’ll get there in time.
It seems the only thing this offense is missing is a solid running game. Both Lamar Miller and Alfred Blue have been solid but unspectacular. The imminent return of D’Onta Foreman could bolster and energize the rushing attack. But, for now, this offense is getting better every week and if they continue to do so there is no reason this team can’t climb to the top of the AFC South.
