#10 George Springer starts 2018 with a blast

Remember how 2017 ended? George Springer homer that all but sealed the World Series title. Of course, Springer was named the MVP of the World Series by tying a World Series record with five homers.

He also set a new World Series record by hitting a homer in four straight games. Now how could he possibly top that? Well, the last time he didn’t homer was in Game 3 of the 2017 World Series. Why stop homering now?

How about Opening Day? Leadoff hitter on the road against your most hated rival from Arlington and Cole Hamels? Six homers in five straight games anybody?

Did this author forget to mention that Springer started 2017 with a leadoff homer as well? That’s a mistake. But what wasn’t a mistake was Springer deciding to go yard as Houston would win the first game of the season. Not a bad way to open up 2018 as a defending champion.

Speaking of defending champions, how about we go to #9?
