Carlos Correa, SS

The scariest part about Carlos Correa is how injury prone it seems he’s become. Fortunately, none of his injuries seem to be lingering or persistent. But, he’s missed significant time three times the past two years. The good news is he’s healthy now and is welcoming sight to have back in the lineup.

His defense at short was deeply missed by this Houston Astros team. He has been excellent making outstanding stops and throws en route to many double plays already. Unfortunately, his bat hasn’t made as quick as a return as his glove.

He is only one for his last fourteen at bats since returning from the disabled list. He has also collected one RBI in those four games. This is unfortunate as he had hit safely in 13 of the past 16 games prior to going on the disabled list.

Also. Six reasons to not worry about this team's adversity. light

The Houston Astros desperately need a bat to spark some offense during this slump. Correa needs to be that bat. He is on pace to have the worst year of his career in almost every single category, not too great for someone who entered the season with MVP hopes.

The Astros need Correa to bring the wood and literally power this team to a mid-season turn around. His bat has been missing a good chunk of the year. If Correa can put the team on his back while Altuve and Springer are out and continue when they come back, this team will have a great shot at repeating.
