Reflection

Seven months later, it still feels like a dream. Maybe I’ve accepted at some point during my life we might not win and would continue to have heartbreaks. But when the baseball went right to Yuli Gurriel’s glove on a throw from Jose Altuve, I still swear it wasn’t real. It sounds crazy saying that because I know we won and history books know we won.

I mean, even if the Houston Astros never win another World Series, which I hope we do soon, I don’t have to worry about not winning a World Series because we got 2017 to reflect on. But to go through the journey of the seven-game series, which by far was better than the Cubs-Indians series, is something that I think will never be topped.

Every World Series is high-impact, high-stakes, and stress-loaded. But 2017 saw a World Series that took baseball and turned it upside down. Ranging from Houston flooded by Hurricane Harvey to Houston flooded by fans and confetti.

Related Story. Three things to like about Ryan Pressly. light

From the record-breaking 25 homers hit between two teams to the dominant pitching of Clayton Kershaw and Justin Verlander. To go from two epic World Series games in 2 and 5 to George Springer tying a World Series record with five homers.

From the celebrity battle of Magic Johnson, Mila Kunis, and Brad Paisley versus J.J Watt, Rico Rodriguez, and the Bush family to that one night in November when a stunned Dodger crowd had their dreams crushed by the best team in baseball.

Los Angeles likes to create fantasy while Houston created reality. We should be expecting a movie or miniseries about our story soon.
