Houston Texans: 5 dream/nightmare scenarios for the 2018 season
By T.A. Mock
Dream 3: Offensive line develops into a league average unit
After last year, a league average line will be an absolute dream. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen offensive line play that was so atrocious. Nearly every position was a revolving door for a variety of reasons.
That led the Houston Texans to go out and find an army of new offensive linemen. Fulton, Senio Kelemete, and Seantrel Henderson were added via free agency. The team also added Martinas Rankin in the draft and a few other guys were added.
There should be at least four new starters come week one with Nick Martin being the only holdover. If these guys can develop into a cohesive unit and help cover deficiencies, league average will absolutely be within range.
Nightmare 3: Offensive line somehow manages to get worse
How? I mean, how?! HOW?! How could this possibly happen? Well, my friend, I have absolutely no idea. But, if it did it would be the worst thing that could happen to this team. It could result in firings across all levels, it could cause a chain reaction of bad events.
