The Houston Texans have already resigned several role players, and more could be on the way.

Thus far, the team has resigned OLB Ufomba Kamalu, S Corey Moore, and P Shane Lechler. Kamalu filled in admirably after Watt and Mercilus went down. Moore was a solid special teamer and provided nice depth from the safey position. Bringing Lechler back will always be a given as long as he wants to play.

Beyond these three, there are a few guys the team should look to bring back.

Johnathan Joseph

Johnathan Joseph has been a stalwart on the Texans defense for years now. He was far and away the Texans best corner last year. Joseph is entering the twilight of his career, but he could still be more than serviceable as a number two, especially if the team signs Butler. He should return on a modest deal.

Eddie Pleasant

Eddie Pleasant has been extremely solid for this team his entire career. Originally a special teams ace, Pleasant has evolved into a decent back up safety. No reason the Texans shouldn’t bring him back.

Bruce Ellington

Bruce Ellington turned my head during the 2017 season before he got hurt. The journeyman has nice ups and solidified route tree. He would be a solid third or fourth receiver for this team.

Alfred Blue

The team needs another running back, especially if D’Onta Foreman isn’t healthy to start the year. So why not bring back Alfred Blue? He is always solid and knows the offense and could be had at a very reasonable price.
