Bradley McDougald

Bradley McDougald is an Ohio native and originally committed to Ohio State to play safety. He ended up signing with Kansas to player receiver. Seems like the Buckeyes were correct as McDougald ended up switching to safety during his time at Kansas.

McDougald spent the first years of his career in Tampa until he ended up in Seattle on a one year deal.

The former Jayhawk was dubbed an unsung hero for Seattle this past year, doing whatever the team needed in the secondary. McDougald isn’t a world beater from the safety position, but he could be a good complimentary piece to current Houston Texans safety Andre Hal. Hal has excellent ball skills, but is subpar as a tackler and enforcer. McDougald has thrived as a tackler in his years in the NFL.

He could bridge the gap well to a prospect if the team chooses to draft one. He would also be phenomenal filling in any role needed in the defense as he played safety, corner, and even some linebacker for the Seahawks last year.

The team could try to swing a bigger name like Ricardo Allen or Kenny Vaccaro. However, I like the value of McDougald paired with a draft pick over one of those guys.
