The finish line is upon us and finally there will be a culmination to this miserable season as both teams that are in the same boat will take the field.  Here’s some injuries to keep your eye on.

The Houston Texans and the Indianapolis Colts will be taking the field today, here’s a few injuries that you need to know about.

For the Houston Texans, here are the players that are listed on the injury report:

G Jeff Allen, Concussion

OLB/DE Jadeveon Clowney, Knee/Toe

ILB Dylan Cole, Elbow

T Julie’n Davenport, Shoulder

QB Taylor Heinicke, Concussion

WR DeAndre Hopkins, Calf

DE Joel Heath, Knee

CB Kareem Jackson, Foot

CB Kevin Johnson, Knee

T Kendall Lamm, Concussion

OLB LaTroy Lewis, Shoulder

C/G Greg Mancz, Knee

S Eddie Pleasant, Neck

G Xavier Su’a-Filo, Groin

RB Jordan Todman, Shoulder

Allen, Hopkins and Todman are OUT.  Lamm and Lewis are QUESTIONABLE.  Clowney, Cole, Davenport, Heinicke, Heath, Jackson, Johnson, Mancz, Pleasant and Su’a-Filo are PROBABLE.

Houston Texans’ Tidbits:

DeAndre Hopkins:  The 2nd-time all-Pro wide receiver has been dealing with a calf injury for quite some time.  Had this game meant something he’d be out there but it’s just best to not to put him in harm’s way.  I’m sure he’s looking to even improve even more — if that’s possible — off of this season and he deserves a well-deserved day off.  I’m perfectly fine with this as I’m sure they’ll be lining up Braxton Miller a lot with Will Fuller.  Miller needs to make more an impression to ensure

his value on this roster is warranted.  I think when Deshaun Watson returns, that could make wonders as Miller’s only touchdown pass that he caught was from him.

Jeff Allen: The Texans have decided to hold out the guard — quasi-left tackle — for the rest of the season.  They’re just erring on the side of caution and this isn’t a game where he’s absolutely needed as we close out a somewhat miserable season.  Julién Davenport made some nice strides at left tackle last Sunday and although he committed the face mask penalty early in the game, he has proven that he’s worth keeping around as we watch him develop.  He has tremendous size as opposed to his counterpart so if there’s any upside to the future pieces to this offensive line, he’ll be one of them.

And here’s the injury report for the Indianapolis Colts:

T/G Denzelle Good, Knee

RB Frank Gore, Rest

DT Johnathan Hankins, Ankle

TE Jason Vander Laan, Concussion

WR Donte Moncrief, Ankle

Good, Hankins and Vander Laan are OUT. Moncrief is QUESTIONABLE.  Gore is PROBABLE.

Indianapolis Colts Tidbits:

Donte Moncrief: Jacoby Brissett‘s considerable target outside of T.Y. Hilton has been mostly an afterthought this month as he has missed the last three games.  His is listed as QUESTIONABLE but I doubt that he’s active for Sunday in a meaningless game.  He did practice this week so it’s a possibility but it sounds like he’s a bit late to the party, right?  He’ll be an unrestricted free agent this off season so it remains to be seen how high the Colts are on him at this time, especially when your best ability is your availability.
