It seemed like this was the series everyone wanted. The Houston Astros vs. the Los Angeles Dodgers. Why?
- Former division rivals in the NL West during the 1980’s.
- Both teams had 60 wins at the All-Star Break.
- Last time the Dodgers were in the World Series was this iconic moment.
- Houston is recovering from Harvey still.
- Two pitchers looking to avenge themselves.
- Hollywood celebs vs. Harvey survivors.
- California vs. Texas
- Left vs. Right.
Well, let’s erase that last thought.
But it seemed like this was meant to happen. You can say God or fate, depending on what you believe, wanted this. They want this series to happen. Does it guarantee an Houston Astros

championship? No! Does it guarantee a Los Angeles Dodgers championship? No! It’s going to be another game of Chutes and Ladders (Snakes and Ladders). Spins might go our way. Spins may go the Dodgers.
I personally think we’ll beat them in five. It sounds like a bold prediction. I may be wrong. I may be right. But I feel if we split the first two games in LA, we should have home field advantage to try and take three at home.
Now most everyone will say the series will end in six games with the Dodgers on top. You know what? Who cares? It’s just a prediction. You can’t cheat your way to let your prediction come true. The Dodgers may have Magic Johnson and the celebrities. But I think we have the country to back us up.

Our first goal is to win a game. If we win one game in the World Series, then all the world is fine. Yes, I would love to win four here, but winning one is all that matters. Once we win one, we go for two. Then three and four if needed.
So folks, don’t stop believing. I feel like something is brewing and it’s going to be a great series for the Houston Astros and a fun final week of October.
