Phoenix Suns

The Phoenix Suns have also been a team whose season has not gone the way they imagined and may be looking to shake up their mix.  The Suns also expected to at least be in the fight for the 8th spot in the Western Conference playoffs but sit at a disastrous 14-40.

They have already fired their coaching staff including former Suns and Jazz player Jeff Hornacek who previously seemed to be on the right track to be a successful coach.  With that level of failure, the Suns are likely to be willing to consider just about anything and they need to change up their mix of core players.

More from Houston Rockets

It’s widely known the Suns are shopping Markieff Morris, that may or may not interest the Rockets. But what possibly would interest the Rockets would be if the Suns are willing to shake up things more and discuss a package including Tyson Chandler to replace Howard.

The Rockets are even more interested if either Brandon Knight or Eric Bledsoe are in the conversation, where both teams could have a major make over.  Obviously the Rockets would have to include some other players as well, but it could be a potential solution to a major chemistry problem for both teams.

All of these teams do have pieces that should interest the Rockets.  Which teams are interested in Howard and who’s willing to offer a deal that will make it worthwhile is what the Rockets are currently working through.  But we should be looking at a new Rockets team of some sort some February 19th.
