Houston Rockets: It’s Yours For The Taking, Terrence Jones!
RedNation can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that this series with the Los Angeles Clippers is knotted at one game a piece.
I’ll have to admit, they kind of had me worried Wednesday — I started thinking about being in a 0-2 hole and what were the odds of us climbing out of it!
You may have read my work before, I’m just about the most optimistic guy in terms of performance for my favorite sports teams in H-Town.
Yes, the glass is half-full not half-empty.
But the realist in me was wondering if it were possible for the Rockets to win this series.
I was scratching my head in regard to the fact that the Clips did not have Chris Paul to which they should’ve taken full advantage of.
They didn’t quite do that.
They let Blake Griffin, a once-budding prospect in his own right has blossomed into the NBA great that everyone thought he’d be.
He’s actually gone away from being the one-dimensional, slam-dunk that he was at first.
He’s developed a regal low-post game that I was actually impressed to see — he even gets his teammates involved in the process as well.
As a result though, Griffin has had eight triple-doubles in the postseason and feat that hasn’t been completed since Magic Johnson did so back in 1982.
When your name is mentioned amongst greats like him, that’s just a credit to his style of play.

But enough about BG, let’s talk about something that has been quite alarming over these past playoff games.
What is it, you may ask?
The disappearance of Terrence Jones.
Are you there TJones? It’s me, RedNation!
We back you 100 percent but where have you been?
I know you’ve had some spurts of activity over the past seven games of the playoffs but I’d like to see you make your mark in this series.

It’s yours for the taking and I think you could be the missing link that we need to take us over the top to get to the Western Conference Finals.
For what it’s worth, you are averaging 11.1 points and 6.1 rebounds for the playoffs which is definitely on-par with your season average.
But I’d like to see a huge game out of you, set a precedent and let your defender know that they better think twice if they give any inkling of effort of defense on you.
Whomever that may be…
Matt Barnes, DeAndre Jordan, Griffin, Glen “Big Baby” Davis, Hedo Turkoglu…it’s time to see some additional intimidation!

You’re well overdue for a monster game and I’m aware that you know have to share the spotlight since Dwight Howard is back in full effect.
But it wouldn’t hurt to see one of those type games with the series shifting to LA.
It’s yours for the taking TJones, now it’s time to show on the national platform that you have what it takes.
It’s time to do it!
Go Rockets!
