1. Shooting Ability
The Rockets have been looking for a shooter to surround Dwight Howard with since they signed him last summer.
Chris Bosh is a stretch forward, with the ability to shoot from the perimeter as well as ability to score in the low post. He is able to shoot from the perimeter which would provide great floor spacing for the Rockets. For a team that runs a lot of isolation based plays on offense, floor spacing is a key component to the success of the game plan.

Harden is the primary ball handler in Houston. He can work the two man pick and pop with Bosh, something that will open up scoring opportunities for everyone. Opponents have to respect Bosh’s jump shot, which will create better driving lanes for Harden. The dynamic of a pick and pop with Bosh is far different than the pick and roll that Harden and Howard run. Adding this new wrinkle in the offense will only raise the Rockets’ offensive repertoire.
Howard would also benefit from the addition of Bosh. On post up situations for Howard, Bosh can spot up and let Howard operate on the low block. If Bosh’s defender tries to come and help off, Bosh is more than capable to hitting a 15-18 ft jumper.
According to ESPN the Rockets are prepared to offer Bosh a max contract. Oh yeah, Did I forget to mention Bosh is from Texas? Homecoming?
There should be a lot of decisions made for superstars this week. Let’s just hope Chris Bosh chooses H-Town.
