Glenn Robinson III

Small Forward – Michigan

Glen Robinson III is the son of Glenn Robinson (aka The Big Dog) who starred at Purdue and had an excellent NBA career starring primarily for the Milwaukee Bucks where he finished as the 2nd leading all time scorer in Bucks history. While his dad was a tremendous offensive player, Glenn Robinson III is an athletic wing player who is a very good defensive player and shows some upside on offense.

Robinson is 6’7”, 210 with a 6’10” wingspan. He also measured the highest vertical jump among small forwards at this year’s NBA combine at nearly 42 inches. His measurables and his play at Michigan suggest that he is a tremendously athletic small forward who should be able to defend and run the floor well at the next level.

Robinson doesn’t always step to the forefront offensively and had a tendency to take a secondary role on offense for some very talented Michigan teams. He has shown the ability to knock down 3 point shots but he must improve his percentages and I expect that he will, given time. Robinson is still only 20 years old.

If he can continue to develop his outside game, his upside comparable is someone like Trevor Ariza.

If successful at the NBA level, he becomes a good small forward defender that can hit open shots and be a force on the offensive end at times, although not likely on a consistent basis. But that is a role that Rockets could use going forward coming off their bench.
