Domingo Santana is a big (6’5″ 225 lbs) outfielder with tons of power. Acquired by the Astros as the player to be named later in the Hunter Pence trade. Since Domingo has came to the Astros system he has done nothing but hit homeruns, and unfortunately strike out. He has some contact issues but his power and arm in RF are legit.

2013 Stats, Class AA: 112 G, .252 BA/.345 OBP/.498 SLG, 23 2B, 2 3B, 25 HR, 64 RBI, 12 SB, 46 BB/139 SO

Best Case Scenario Comparison: Preston Wilson, OF (Mets, Marlins, Rockies, Nationals, Astros, Cardinals)

I went back and forth multiple times with this one. Although Preston Wilson is smaller than Santana I could see Santana having a career similar to Wilson’s with the home runs, despite the high strikeout rate. Many people probably remember Wilson for his time in Houston, although he was a good hitter earlier in his career. Between 1999-2005 Wilson averaged 27 HR, 93 RBI, with about a 25% SO rate and a combined war over 9 for those seasons.
