NWSL College Draft – January 17th, 2014

Kealia Ohai #7 (North Carolina) – Taken in the 1st round with the second overall pick. Leopold Ponce’s spotlight on Ohai can be found here.

Rafaelle Souza #6 (Ole Miss) – Taken with the 1st pick of the 2nd round. She is a Brazilian player who plays left back for the national team. She is completing her degree at Ole Miss and will not join the team until some time in May.

Marissa Diggs #23 (UCF) – Taken in the 2nd round with the 11th pick which was acquired from Portland (see below). Expected to start the season at center back.

Jordan Jackson #8 (Nebraska) – Taken with the 1st pick of the 4th round. Played for Waldrum, who says she can play at any position, on the US U-23 squad.
