Week 8 Injury Report: Houston Texans Vs. Tennessee Titans

facebooktwitterreddit

Wow — that a bad game that we saw last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers.  A game that looked like the Houston Texans could totally win turned into a hapless effort as continuous mistakes cost them the football game.

I hope to not see a performance that bad again.

The team will now head up to the Music City to face the Tennessee Titans, their division rival in the AFC South.

This match up should favor the Texans but I’m not holding my breath, this team might find another way to lose this one as well.

This team needs a win in the worst of ways and they have a excellent opportunity to get it — let’s hope they can take advantage of it.

Anyway, there are a few bumps and bruises for our team to pay close attention to.

Take a look:

For the Houston Texans, here are the players that are listed on the injury report:

Morris and Tarpinian have been ruled out.  Clowney, Cushing, Reed and Simon are deemed as questionable.  Dent, Jamison, Andre Johnson, Joseph, Mohamed and Powe are all probable.

Earlier this week, Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reported that Cushing could miss between one to three weeks with his knee injury.  Bill O’Brien disputed that report yesterday indicating that his status is “day-to-day” and will travel with the team up to Nashville to give it a go.

Clowney is extremely close to returning and according to O’Brien he has a good chance of playing tomorrow.

The Houston Texans’ Drew Dougherty reports:

Tarpinian has a partially-torn PCL and will miss some time as a result.

Jayson Braddock reports:

Brooks Reed gave himself a self-diagnosis and said “it’s looking pretty good” that he will play tomorrow:

And here’s the injury report for the Tennessee Titans:

Sensabaugh and Thompson have been ruled as doubtful. Groves has been deemed as questionable. Greene, Locker and Pitoitua are all probable.

Thompson has been suffering from an injury of the knee since Week 1 — he still not quite ready and tight ends Delanie Walker and Chase Coffman will be available to fill-in as they have been for the past couple of weeks.

And there you have it — the list of maladies is a lot shorter this week for the Texans.  We can only hope to see Clowney and Cushing out on the football field.  They will make a difference out there.

The Texans take on the Titans tomorrow.  Kickoff is scheduled for noon CDT.  The game will be televised on FOX and broadcast on 610 SportsRadio AM/100.3 (KILT).

Go Texans!
