It’s been a rough few years for Texans LB Brian Cushing. He missed most of 2012 after tearing his ACL against the New York Jets in week five. In 2013, his season was cut short when he broke his fibula and tore his LCL in the same leg against the Kansas City Chiefs in week seven. Cushing has spent all offseason rehabbing and has been cleared according to his twitter account. Cushing is a huge part of the Texans defense and has been sorely missed most of the last two seasons. "Peacock won a spot in the rotation to begin last season but lasted only a month after going 1-3 with an 8.44 ERA. In his third stint with the club last year, he went 4-3 with a 3.67 ERA in his final 12 games, including nine starts.“Peacock is the next in line, and I think he’s going to pick up where he finished last year in September,” general manager Jeff Luhnow said."

Houston Rockets

"“We have a great squad,” Howard tells USA TODAY Sports. “You look at the guys we have on our team: We have a guy in James (Harden) who can get buckets for you at any time, and then we’ve got Chandler (Parsons), who has been playing great all year. Not only that, you have Pat (Beverley), who is playing great defense up top. You’ve got Jeremy (Lin). We’ve got Omer (Asik). We have a lot of guys.”"

  • Hannah Storm (ESPN) sat down with James Harden to talk Rockets.
  • Michael Ma (SpaceCityScoop) on Grantland thinking the Rockets are sleeper contenders.

"In 2012, his season ended when he tore his ACL on the road against the Jets. Cushing worked his way back and started the 2013 season off strong. But then, he broke his fibula and tore his LCL (same leg) in Week 7 in Kansas City.“I’m just looking forward to playing football again,” Cushing said on Sirius XM radio Tuesday. “Getting back, playing the game I love and putting forward a full 16 games.”"
