Last season, the Houston Texans went 1-1 in their two meetings against the Tennessee Titans.

The Titans defeated the Texans 32-27 in Week 7 behind a solid performance from Will Levis, who completed 18-of-24 passes for 278 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception. Levis was also sacked eight times, but Houston couldn’t grab the win.

However, the Texans would get revenge on the Titans in the final week of the regular season with a 23-14 win in Nashville. Levis completed 9-of-17 passes for 175 yards and a touchdown in the loss.

The former second-round pick had an inconsistent sophomore season in 2024, which played a part in the Titans finishing with the worst record in the league at 3-14. Levis completed 63.1% of his passes for 2,091 yards, 13 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions.

With the young quarterback not showing much improvement in Year 2, the Titans could take a QB at No. 1 overall. If that were to happen, Tennessee could be open to moving Levis.

According to senior NFL insider Josina Anderson, Levis and Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins have come up in "recent preliminary trade inquiries or discussions." Anderson adds that a league source said, "The Titans would like to transition."

Based on Levis’s performance over these first two seasons, it’s hard to gauge what would be adequate value in a trade. When the Titans moved on from Malik Willis (former third-round pick) last summer, Tennessee got a seventh-round pick from the Green Bay Packers.

Levis could net the Titans a fifth or sixth-round pick in a potential trade, but that’s about it. Even though some people believe this QB draft class isn’t the best, it’s hard to see a team giving up significant draft capital for the young Titans quarterback.

At least Texans fans don’t have to worry about the QB position anymore as they have their guy in C.J. Stroud.
