The Houston Texans secured their second straight AFC South title in 2024. Despite winning back-to-back division titles, Houston's 2024 is looked upon as a disappointment. This past season, second-year quarterback C.J. Stroud threw for 3,727 yards, 20 touchdowns, 12 interceptions, and was sacked 52 times.

Compared to his rookie season, Stroud took 14 more sacks, threw for 381 fewer yards, and gave the ball up seven more times. While that's not the year anyone expected, the Texans are far from the worst quarterback situation in the AFC South. That distinction belongs to Will Levis and the Tennessee Titans.

Even though it's clear to everyone that the Titans need to upgrade at quarterback, they continue to stand behind Levis. According to a recent article from Jim Wyatt, Senior writer/ editor for the Titans organization, contrary to other reports, the Titans have not had any talks to trade Levis.

Titans Currently Have no Intentions to Trade Will Levis

""That's a false report. We have not contacted anybody, and nobody has contacted us, about Will Levis. I don't think anything has changed from the time somebody asked me about this a month ago."
Chad Brinker, Pres. of Football Ops.

Brinker's comments aren't surprising in the slightest. Tennessee doesn't want to tip its hand if they plan to draft a quarterback with the first overall pick. Taking trade inquiries for Levis would certainly let all 31 other teams know they are drafting a quarterback.

That said, if the Titans draft a quarterback, Levis could be placed on the trade block. Despite the 25-year-old's struggles as a starting quarterback, Houston's foe might be able to get some capital back for him.

The Pittsburgh Steelers traded the quarterback they hoped would be their future, Kenny Pickett, during the 2024 offseason. The Steelers sent Pickett to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for a 2024 third-round pick and two 2025 seventh-round picks.

Although that's not a huge return, Tennessee would be lucky to receive that for Levis. Regardless of their quarterback, Houston's roster is currently better on paper, so they should still have the advantage over the Titans.
