On Thursday, the Houston Texans wrapped up the last of their six OTA practices. During these six practices, fans got their first glimpse of the new players on offense and defense through clips posted by the media. While it's exciting to keep an eye on how the Texans' OTAs are going, it's also important to keep an eye on news surrounding division rivals' OTAs.

Late Thursday morning, it was reported that a quarterback within the division has been sidelined with an injury during OTAs. According to the Indianapolis Colts' official X account, head coach Shane Steichen said quarterback Anthony Richardson is dealing with a shoulder injury and will not participate in minicamp next week. Richardson's injury is music to the ears of all Texans fans as it throws a wrench in the Colts' entire QB Battle.

Colts Already Dealing With More Anthony Richardson Problems

At the beginning of this offseason, Indianapolis put Richardson's job on the hot seat by signing Daniel Jones and announcing that the starting quarterback job was up for grabs. That said, this move made total sense after the 23-year-old had shown a lack of leadership.

At one point last season, Richardson was gassed and tapped his helmet to come out of the game, which the leader of a franchise should never do. There were also reports internally that he was failing to be a true leader in the building.

Furthermore, Richardson's on-field play has been lackluster in his first couple of seasons. In two years, the 23-year-old has completed just 50.6% (176/348) of his passes for 2,391 yards, 11 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions. This injury right before minicamp puts the ball in Jones' court to take a firm lead on Richardson.

No matter the outcome of this position battle, the Texans are in a much better position at quarterback than the Colts. Thus, Texans fans have every right to dunk on their division rival.
