The Houston Texans have a pivotal offseason ahead of them. They have been bounced in the Divisional Round for the second straight season and are hoping to change that ending in 2025.

Free agency and the NFL Draft are two avenues the Texans will use to bolster this roster. They also have a big decision to make regarding Stefon Diggs, who is a free agent but tore his ACL in October against the Indianapolis Colts.

While that will be a difficult conversation, the Texans got a positive update on tight end Brevin Jordan. He also tore his ACL against the Chicago Bears in Week 2, but a video posted on X shows him sprinting down the football field without a knee brace on.

Brevin Jordan Takes Big Step in Rehab

Since being a fifth-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, Jordan hasn't been able to play a full season. The Miami product was brought in due to his secure hands and athleticism to threaten the seams.

In 36 career games (12 starts), the 24-year-old has logged 53 receptions (80 targets) for 532 yards and five touchdowns. His best season came in 2023, where he posted career highs in receiving yards (219) and yards per reception (12.9).

Back in December, Jordan inked a one-year, $2.1 million extension, keeping him around for the 2025 season. The Texans like what they have in Jordan and want him back around. He will have his work cut out for himself, but the No. 1 priority is to stay healthy.

Houston has Dalton Schultz and Cade Stover on the books for next season. Jordan will have to prove himself to get more reps, but he should be ready to roll once training camp rolls around this summer.

The 24-year-old is an athletic pass catcher in Houston's offense and now he needs to put it all together on the field. This update on his recovery is exactly what fans wanted to see.
