The Houston Texans will be one of 32 teams in the league looking to make some splashes during free agency next week.
The Texans are seeking to get over their postseason woes in 2025, and free agency is one area in which teams can bring in quality players.
Teams around the league are releasing guys ahead of free agency to create cap space. With that happening, Houston could have the perfect chance to bolster the trenches for the 2025 season.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the San Francisco 49ers have let defensive tackle Javon Hargrave know he'll be released on the first day of the league year. With Hargrave slated to hit the open market, the Texans would be wise to add him to the team.

Javon Hargrave is Going to Hit Free Agency
The Texans have made it clear that they want to improve the interior of their defensive line. They plan to let Mario Edwards and Foley Fatukasi walk in free agency, so they'll need some guys to replace that duo.
Hargrave tore his triceps last season but is expected to be fully healthy when the 2025 season rolls around. The 32-year-old is known for being a disruptor along the interior as a pass rusher while being solid enough against the run.
Across 130 career games, the SC State product has compiled 380 total tackles, 55 TFLs, 79 QB hits, and 45.5 sacks. He has four seasons with at least 6.5 sacks in his career, with two Pro Bowls under his belt.
Houston has $14 million in cap space per Spotrac going into free agency. They could create more space with releases and restructures, but the Texans should look into bringing Hargrave in.
They need more juice up the middle since they have Will Anderson and Danielle Hunter screaming off the edge. There may not be a better option on the open market than Hargrave, which makes him an intriguing option. ESPN's DJ Bien-Aime revealed that Houston plans to attack OL and WRs in free agency, but adding to the defensive line is never a bad idea either.
