The Houston Texans made major changes across their offensive line this offseason. First, they traded former first-round pick Kenyon Green to the Philadelphia Eagles.
A few days after trading Green, Houston sent their best offensive lineman, Laremy Tunsil, to the Washington Commanders. The Texans received a third-round and seventh-round pick in 2025 and a second-round and fourth-round pick in 2026 in return.
Houston then brought in free agents Cam Robinson and Laken Tomlinson to be the short-term solutions. That said, last year the Texans drafted Michigan offensive lineman Ladarius Henderson to be their future at guard. Unfortunately, the 23-year-old was sidelined with injuries his entire rookie year.
During an appearance on Up & Adams with Kay Adams on Tuesday, Texans GM Nick Caserio provided an update on Henderson's health. Caserio said, "LD’s [ Ladarius Henderson] been working his ass off really since last year. It’s unfortunate he kinda had to deal with double foot surgery."
He added,"He’s been here essentially every day since his season has ended."

Nick Caserio Provides Promising Update on Texans' Young Offensive Lineman Ladarius Henderson
Caserio's comments on Henderson's health should excite Texans fans. During his senior season at Michigan, Henderson allowed only two sacks, five QB hits, 24 QB hurries and 31 QB pressures. Prior to his time at Michigan, he played four seasons at Arizona State.
During his time with the Sun Devils, Henderson allowed nine sacks, seven QB hits, 26 QB hurries and 42 QB pressures. While his sack number seems high at Arizona State, five of them came during his freshman year.
Transferring to Michigan for his final collegiate season proved he could perform at the same level against higher competition, which is why Houston felt comfortable drafting him.
Though Tomlinson is ahead of Henderson on the depth chart, if the young guard stays healthy, the Texans will give him the chance to overtake the veteran in training camp. Texans fans will be closely monitoring this situation heading into the season.
