The Houston Texans are hard at work reshaping the roster in the aftermath of the 2025 NFL Draft. They've reworked the offensive line, added some exciting skill-position players, and even begun attacking the undrafted free agency market.
After falling short in the playoffs to the Kansas City Chiefs, the Texans are focused on upgrading the team in any way possible, hoping to find some diamonds in the rough not only in the draft but after the fact as well.
Every year, there are multiple examples of undrafted gems turning into contributors. The Texans are hoping to find some, and they've announced a flurry of roster moves in the immediate aftermath of the draft.

Texans Sign Flurry of Players as Undrafted Free Agents
According to NFL insider Aaron Wilson, the Texans quickly signed Louisiana linebacker K.C. Ossai, West Virginia long snapper Austin Brinkman, and North Carolina corner Alijah Huzzie.
Ossai, who is the brother of Cincinnati Bengals veteran Joseph Ossai, received $175,000 guaranteed, while Brinkman got $110,000. Additionally, the team signed Kentucky center Eli Cox to a deal worth $250,000 in total guarantees. It's a decent amount of quick spending for Houston, but it's clear that they identified some players they liked and wanted to secure their services.
Most attention has been paid to the Texans' early picks, as they snagged Iowa State teammates and fellow wideouts Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel. They found C.J. Stroud some more protection with Aireonte Ersey in the second round, making it clear that this draft was about restocking an offense that struggled under the weight of expectations in 2024.
The defense is built to compete right now, and Houston make it a priority to ensure the offense will be too. This is a big year for Stroud and based on these moves, he has no excuses.
For now, the Texans remain focused on leaving no stone unturned in an effort to keep adding talent to a young, promising roster. We'll see if any of these undrafted free agents push for a roster spot, but Houston will give them every opportunity to do just that.
