Could the former Rocket return to Houston for another go-around? We shall see what happens. The Houston Rockets could be an attractive destination for Westbrook, depending on how things shake out this summer.

Russell Westbrook Should Have Multiple Suitors After Strong Season
Russell Westbrook will be a solid addition to whatever team he decides to sign with this offseason. He is currently 36 years of age and has played 17 seasons in the NBA. However, he still has a lot left in the tank.
Westbrook averaged 13.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 6.1 assists per game during the 2024-2025 season. He played a big role with the Denver Nuggets this season. There were games where he started and provided solid production. There were also games where he came off the bench. In the games off the bench, he brought energy and effort while providing virtually the same production.
Whether the team is the Houston Rockets or another NBA team, Westbrook has upped his stock with his play last season. These organizations know they are getting a "Swiss Army Knife" type of guy with Westbrook. He has the potential to always stuff the stat sheet and provide veteran leadership. He will almost certainly land with a contender as he is still chasing his first ring. Whether the nine-time All-Star finally gets his first championship with his next team remains to be seen.
