The Houston Texans have several offseason priorities they need to address in the coming months, with both free agency in March and the NFL Draft at the end of April providing two major avenues to improve their roster.
Houston's wide receiver room is one area that could undergo big changes this spring, as the fate of veteran Stefon Diggs is truly up in the air following a season that didn't go as planned for him or the Texans.
Considering Diggs may bolt in free agency, that'd leave a major hole on the WR depth chart. And even if Houston does bring him back, both Diggs (ACL) and fellow wideout Tank Dell (ACL, MCL, LCL tear) are coming off of major injuries that'll test the team's passing corps early on in the 2025 campaign.
That makes adding quality wide receiver depth a key item on the checklist. Luckily, newly installed offensive coordinator Nick Caley may have the perfect in with one player who could fill that need.

Caley happens to come over from the Los Angeles Rams, who are at risk of losing wide receiver Demarcus Robinson this offseason as he prepares to hit unrestricted free agency. As it just so happens, Robinson enjoyed a career year in 2024 with Caley serving as L.A.'s passing game coordinator.
The 2016 fourth-round pick stepped up in a major way for the Rams this past season with Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua both missing chunks of time, recording NFL personal bests in receiving yards (505) and touchdowns (7). The fact Robinson did this on only 31 receptions showcases how much of a threat he is when the ball's in his hands.
Robinson profiles as the ideal WR3 who can not only make a big play in any game, but he's talented enough to even lead the receiving group in certain weeks where his speedy skillset gets the best of opponents.
Houston's non-Big 3 WRs severely disappointed in 2024, with John Metchie III (254), Robert Woods (203) and Xavier Hutchinson (117) failing to rack up much yardage. That trio only notched a total of two touchdowns as well, which Robinson more than tripled all by his own in Los Angeles.
Should Diggs ultimately command more than the Texans would like to pay, Robinson is a great target who likely won't break the bank. Given the questionable health of Diggs and Dell as well to begin the 2025 campaign, Robinson may still make a ton of sense to bring to H-Town so those playmakers aren't rushed back before they're ready.
