After surprisingly trading Pro Bowl left tackle Laremy Tunsil to the Washington Commanders last month, the Houston Texans made a concerted effort to add more talent to the tackle spot in free agency.

The Texans inked veterans Trent Brown to a one-year, $2.35 million deal and Cam Robinson to a one-year, $12 million pact. In addition to those signings, Houston also signed veteran guard Laken Tomlinson to a one-year, $4.25 million contract.

The Texans hope the 29-year-old Robinson can step in immediately at left tackle and protect C.J. Stroud’s blindside. Speaking of Robinson, the veteran lineman was spotted in the Lone Star State, taking in a Dallas Mavericks game.

According to an Instagram post from Robinson, he was at Wednesday night’s game between the Mavericks and Los Angeles Lakers, which was the hottest ticket in the state with the return of superstar playmaker Luka Doncic.

If you are a Texans fan, you must like that Robinson is getting somewhat comfortable in his new surroundings. Granted, it wasn’t a Houston Rockets game, but at least it's known that he’s in the state as the offseason progresses.

Texans fans are already familiar with Robinson, who spent the first 7.5 years of his career with the Jacksonville Jaguars. The veteran lineman was selected in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

Robinson was traded last season in Week 9 to the Minnesota Vikings, where he started in 11 games for an injured Christian Darrisaw. Between his time with the Jaguars and Vikings last year, the veteran o-lineman had a 70.4 pass block (49th among 141 qualified tackles) and a 59.9 run block grade (75th), per PFF.

Additionally, Robinson allowed seven sacks and was penalized 13 times in 999 offensive snaps. Nonetheless, the Texans hope the veteran tackle can stay healthy, which has been an issue in his career, and limit the sacks and penalties.
