The Houston Texans have re-worked the offensive line in the 2025 offseason, including bringing in new left tackle Cam Robinson. The veteran blocker spent the first years of his career with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Minnesota Vikings before landing in Houston this past offseason.
If there has been one consistent trait in the veteran's career, it has been a tendency to deal with injuries. Suffering a torn ACL early in his career and dealing with two other notable injuries, there is reason to be on alert when it comes to the health of the new Texans' left tackle.
With this in mind, it doesn't come as a surprise that Robinson is already giving fans a health scare. The tackle exited practice on Monday, reportedly favoring his lower leg. Considering the long history of leg injuries, this is beyond alarming.
Already, Houston's offensive line is a bit of a question mark. You simply cannot afford to lose your left tackle for any meaningful period of time. Hopefully, the injury proves to be minor and fans have no reason for alarm. However, it is hard not to think the worst when you understand Robinson's history.

Texans Left Tackle Cam Robinson Leaves Practice with Apparent Injury
If there is one path to the Texans not defending their division title, it is things going sideways with the offensive line. The defense is incredibly talented and can keep Houston in games no matter what level the offense is performing at. Add in having a franchise quarterback in C.J. Stroud, and there simply aren't many legitimate concerns about defending a title in a weak division. If there is one potential weakness, it is the offensive line.
Robinson is incredibly important in Houston's attempt to solidify the group and be able to perform at a consistently high level. If this were to be a serious injury, the Texans have two completely unproven options they would be asking to defend the franchise quarterback. This leaves fans plenty of reason for a healthy level of concern.
The good news is the fact we remain over a month from the regular season opener and further away from Houston's first action. Even if this is a serious injury, the left tackle is going to be given plenty of time to get back on the field.
