The NFL Draft, and the excitement that comes with it, is rapidly approaching. However, several veteran free agents are still looking for a new home within the league, and one of them could very well be on the move sooner rather than later.

Veteran offensive tackle George Fant appears to be destined to find a new team. It seems safe to say that a reunion with the Houston Texans is not on the table after the tackle noted at least two other teams in particular have piqued his interest.

George Fant Leaves Texans Off List of Potential Free Agency Landing Spots

During a recent interview with Joseph Person of The Athletic, Fant listed the Tennessee Titans and the Baltimore Ravens as two franchises he is eyeing at this stage of free agency.

"There’s a couple other teams that I’ve been talking to," Fant said, per Person. "But those two are really intriguing to me. Obviously, Baltimore being a contender and Nashville being where I live at. So I’m definitely interested."

Fant was a member of the Texans roster during the 2023 season and started in 13 of the 16 games he appeared in. After spending the 2024 campaign with the Seattle Seahawks, the franchise that signed him as an undrafted free agent in 2016, the Western Kentucky product seems to be focused on the opportunity to play close to his home in Tennessee or with a Super Bowl contender in Baltimore.

The seven-year veteran is a former college basketball standout who successfully transitioned to football once his career on the hardwood came to an end. Interestingly enough, Fant helped play a role in another college basketball big man getting an opportunity to make it to the NFL as he was the one who made the Carolina Panthers aware of Colin Granger before the franchise signed Granger on Monday.
