Roll the tape and the bottom line

Roll the tape

Here’s some film from one of his stronger performances against South Carolina back Aug. 31:

The bottom line

It’s obviously clear that O’Brien and Devlin wanted this guy from the get-go, they had him on their draft board and they were willing to trade up to get him as they didn’t think he’d be available by the time things got to the 5th round.

He’s going to have the adequate time to get his feet but I fully expect Heck to the starting right tackle for the Houston Texans and in short order.  You can have Roderick Johnson fill-in for the time being but I think Heck is going to be that guy.

Next. Texans steal Jonathan Grennard in the third round. dark

There’s plenty of upside with Heck and there’s no reason why he can’t be a quality offensive lineman in the NFL, especially with his immense durability.  He’ll also have an additional coach with his Dad as well so he’s going to be aptly-prepared to weather the storm of being a professional NFL offensive lineman.

Welcome to the H Charlie!
