Houston Texans’ QB Deshaun Watson’s Week 8 TD pass is the fourth of the Top 5 recent Houston sports moments. Let’s revisit this and enjoy it. Take a look.

There’s no better term to describe Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson as than a magician. Over his first three years of his NFL career, Watson has lived out the phrase “play to the whistle.” Watson consistently turns what looks like a disaster into a SportsCenter Top 10 play and there is no better illustration of this in 2019 than his game-winning touchdown pass versus the Oakland Raiders back Oct. 27.

Down 24-20 to the Raiders in the fourth quarter, Watson was looking to lead Texans offense 75 yards down the field to retake the lead. After eight plays, Watson had led the Houston offense all the way down to the Oakland nine-yard line to set up 1st and goal. Then something unbelievable happened.

Check out this incredible moment (you’ll have to go YouTube’s Web site to watch):

After watching that clip everyone’s reaction should be the same: How in the world did Watson just do that?

First, Watson is somehow able to escape what seemed to be a guaranteed sack. Then Watson is kicked in his left eye but manages, with only one good eye, to throw a bullet to his tight end Darren Fells for what turned out to be the game-winning touchdown.

There is no way that play should have resulted in anything but a loss, but Watson, as he has done many times in his young career, used his magic to turn it into what will go down years from now as one of the best plays by an NFL quarterback.
