Washington Filibusters, or the Washington Procrastinators.
The name, Americans, was in the right neighborhood; it’s just not the right street address—pardon the borrowed symbolism, Mercury Morris. With this inevitable name change opportunity, there is a chance to bring people together in solidarity, rekindling the embers of national pride for a place where liberty, justice, and a pursuit of happiness are to be cherished and guarded.
Ladies and gentlemen, what better way to represent the many good people in Washington, D.C., than by renaming the franchise to reflect the community’s role as a robust and ferocious, unapologetic defender of American liberty?
What better name in English is available to suggest watching over and standing guard? Ladies and gentlemen, let us consider embracing the Washington Sentinels.
