Former Houston Cougars’ quarterback Case Keenum is now a free agent. What’s his future after nine seasons? Also, take a look at a Redskins proposal.
On a brisk, but sun-drenched December afternoon in Arlington, I climbed a mountain of various stairways to an upper deck seat in an impeccable facility to witness what may be former Texan and University of Houston standoutCase Keenum’s final NFL start.
Former HoustonCougars‘ quarterback Keenum, nowa free agent, threw a touchdown and a pick for Washington, providing several infrequent strokes of passing brilliance, displaying flashes of exceptional finesse. But even though the Cowboys obliterated their competition by nearly 30 points, the stat lines don’t show how many of Keenum’s drive-saving passes Washington’s receiving core bobbled and dropped, or how often Keenum’s pockets collapsed around him.
This is a story about a possible end for former HoustonCougars‘ quarterback Keenum, as well as potential beginnings for both Keenum and Washington. But first, I would like to share some thoughts on the NFL in D.C., a place that is particularly close to my heart.
