The Houston Rockets will likely have Danuel House in the lineup tonight against the Warriors after missing a game with a toe injury. How will it affect?

The Houston Rockets will take on the Golden State Warriors tonight to resume what has been a fantastic semifinals round so far.  This second-round match up should actually be the Western Conference Finals once again but with the way the playoff seeding turned out, it’s the hand that both teams were dealt.

I’m sure we all had some level of concern in regard to if the Houston Rockets would be able to get themselves out of a 2-0 hole created earlier in the series.  They not only did that but they were able to protect their home court and try again once more at Oracle Arena to try to steal a game up in Oakland.  The aforementioned will be a requirement, not an option and they’ll need to be firing on most of their cylinders to get the job done.

The team has a unique moment in time where Stephen Curry is vulnerable as it’s clearly obvious that he’s nursing an injury to his left hand.  It’s all taped up and it would explain the horrid shooting (26.1 percent from three) that he’s had so far in this matchup of ages.

Although it’s prudent to contain him and Kevin Durant, I’d much more gamble on giving more attention to Curry as there’s a good chance that he’s going to miss his three-point attempt.

More from House of Houston

Durant is so hard to guard with his lanky, long-armed frame and it causes difficulties for defenders because he shoots over the top of them.  His currently shooting 48 percent from behind-the-arc in the semis so far.

But enough about what’s in front of us, there is some good news that reserve forward Danuel House will be available tonight after missing Game 4 with a toe injury.

According to the Chron’s Jonathan Feigen, he’s going off of feel but should be available to play.

Something had to give with House’s peculiar play as of late.

He only has three points, three rebounds while shooting 16.6 percent from the field and 20 percent from three in the 25 minutes he’s had in this series.  The toe injury would explain those numbers and hopefully, this isn’t something that will inhibit his ability to contribute as this series intensifies even more.

He just doesn’t look like himself and there were so many instances where he seemed to get beat by either Durant, Draymond Green, Kevon Looney or whomever his assignment is.

I’m banking on that tonight as we could all be quite surprised as to how his play pans out.

Let’s keep an eye out!
