Kingsley Keke, DE, Texas A&M

The Houston Texans boast one of the best defensive linemen in the history of the NFL in J.J. Watt. He continually occupies multiple blockers yet produces anyways. Other guys, subsequently, get overlooked by media and teams alike because of it.

The Texans retained three rotational pieces at the other defensive end spot in Angelo Blackson, Joel Heath, and Brandon Dunn but they lost Christian Covington in free agency. Adding a guy like Kingsley Keke could potentially give JJ the best running mate he’s ever had.

Keke is very big (6’3″ and 288 lbs) and very athletic (4.95 40, 4.46 short shuttle, 111 broad jump). He dropped 20+ pounds to shift from DT to DE for A&M last year which shows his versatility and determination. Keke would instantly be better than any defensive end not named Watt and could cause even more disruption for Romeo Crennel’s defense.

Maxx Crosby, EDGE, Eastern Michigan

Maxx Crosby and Keke technically play different positions and fill different roles but I believe the Houston Texans will either go one direction or the other with one of their final three picks. He has a tremendously long frame (6’5″ with 33″ arms) which helped him be a productive small school guy. He’s an athlete that needs bulking up to reach his potential but it’s a potential that’s a lot higher than a late Day 3 selection.
